I enjoyed this class very much. First, the location at the Riparian Preserve was beautiful and relaxing. Second, our instructor, Linda Krecker, was knowledgeable and supportive. She had varying degrees of beginners at this class and I think we all felt included. I really enjoyed the experience.

ARTISTS
Linda Brett
I'm a lifelong artist and art educator who finds endless inspiration in the natural world. With a background in both fine art and design, I've spent years exploring watercolor's unique ability to capture movement, light, and emotion. My creative journey includes work in graphic design, costume design, and botanical art, all of which influence my approach to painting.

As a teacher, I value process over perfection. My classes are welcoming, encouraging, and grounded in real practice. I guide students through both foundational skills and expressive techniques, helping them build confidence, experiment freely, and develop their own artistic voice.
Jared
Jared is a painter with a deep connection to watercolor, the medium they've worked with the longest 2014and one that continues to surprise them with its spontaneity and depth. Their work explores light, mood, and atmosphere, inviting students to embrace watercolor's unpredictable beauty while building strong technical foundations. As an instructor, they focus on balancing control with freedom, helping others discover how expressive and rewarding watercolor can be

It was a free photo from pixabay. I was drawn to painting this because it was black and white and showed an older gentleman in deep thought. It made me wonder what he was thinking.

As a 4th generation artist RB Anderson realized his love of art at an early age, painting beside his mother in Taos and Santa Fe as she followed her art career. He grew up in New Mexico during the creative cultural history of the 60s where his young life was further influenced by art instructor Frank McCulloch who explained that art was about self expression. A few years later, in Colorado, RB received a BS in commercial art, then moved to San Francisco where he studied at the Institute of Art.

This 9x12 watercolor was inspired by a photograph of the Turks and Caicos Islands at sunset where she was recently visiting. Plam trees dominate tge scene overlaying the bushes with a peek of the cabanas and calm ocean in the background. You see the sky at sunset with dark rainclouds on the horizon. I painted this piece to exemplify atmospheric landscapes with both energy and tranquility,
